For the past 9 years, the European Commission has been monitoring the digital progress of member states and publishing an annual report on the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI).

Only 19% use cloud solutions, while 32% use electronic information exchange. As a result, Poland ranked 24th among the 27 EU member states.
In addition, only 40% of small and medium enterprises have achieved a minimum basic level of digital technology index. It is a result below the European Union average, which currently stands at 55%.
It seems, then, that Polish entrepreneurs still have a long way to go, especially if they want to achieve the Digital Decade 2030 goal of having at least a ‘basic level’ of digital technology application for at least 90% of small and medium-sized enterprises.
